Description
It was the subject of a Cover Feature in Unique Cars (Feb 2000 Gained 2 silver medals in concourse 2007 Jaguar car club Tasmania. A complete under bonnet mechanical and cosmetic restoration was completed in Feb 2007 incl. Gearbox overhaul new steering rack new Gaz adjustable shockers (6) new clutch pressure plate flywheel balance clutch slave cylinder carb kits complete susp rubbers kit nolathane front rear All parts from firewall forward removed repaired painted or replaced bolts nuts washers suspension etc re zinced or replaced. All body parts engine mechanical accessories repainted replaced. Over 13000 spent all receipts available for this plus for previous 10 years. The car has a S S exhaust system upgraded S motor new radiator immobilizer almost new Falken Ziex Ze326 tyres. Engine overhaul was not required but mains big-ends bore valves etc. all checked all welsh plugs removed replaced engine water jackets cleaned out engine repainted front rear main seals replaced all Ok. Engine holds 40psi at idle when hot. The car now drives like new looks like new (almost) and performs like an excellent condition E type should. The original dash (crash pad) is split on the lhs other wise the trim is good most of the carpet in original reasonable condition (floor mats replaced) whilst the mohair hood is in excellent condition.
