A vibrant international advertising media company requires the skills of an ambitious It Helpdesk Support individual to join their existing Information Technology team. We are looking for an individual who has performed a similar It Helpdesk role or someone who has finished University and has a relevant It degree. We would also consider a traveler looking to secure a 3-month It contract with previous It Helpdesk Support experience. This new position will be responsible for the day to day level 1 It Helpdesk Support for the 600 business staff spread across 11 offices nationally running a mixture of Windows Xp machines and Apple Mac s using Osx. The purpose of the It Helpdesk Support role is be the first point of contact for all It related enquires. You will be responsible to log all It service requests in a timely manner then perform Level 1 It troubleshooting over the phone if you are unable to resolve the problem promptly allocate the job to a Level 2 It team resource. This is primarily a support focused role following best practices. You will be a pro active enthusiastic yet patient individual with a can-do attitude. Excellent customer service outgoing personality and communication skills are a must for this role. The It Helpdesk Support role is key to ensuring that the business requirements are met in a professional and customer-focused way. You should be an extremely reliable individual have proven time keeping and multi-tasking skills. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in computers and all things It related including Audio Visual equipment integration with Pc s. Responsibilities Provide 1st level technical support to the 600 business staff nationally and be the 1st point of contact for It-related questions Manage Service Desk enquires logging requests escalation status reporting Microsoft Active Directory user account password resets Provide business user support for desktop application issues Adds and changes of Microsoft Active Directory user email accounts Setup of pool It equipment for business staff to take offsite Configure Blackberry and Windows Mobile devices for business staff Burn Cd s Dvd s for business staff Contact 3rd party suppliers to place hardware faults and arrange maintenance onsite callouts. Essential Information Technology Skills Minimum 1 year of Microsoft Xp desktop application experience. Mcp Certified would be advantageous Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory A clear understanding of Pc hardware components to facilitate hardware upgrades and replacement of components Essential Personal Attributes Excellent oral and written communication skills Reliable and hardworking Strong customer service focus Able to work well in a team environment A clear communicator and able to communicate with people on all levels Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
