This is the kind of role that will easily lead into working as a Business Analyst or even Project Manager in the next few years You should already have some accountancy experience (whether studied or from work experience) having already a good idea of the concepts of book-keeping and financial control You should have excellent polished communication skills as part of this role is communicating to senior Directors of the company As you will be providing reports a very good working understanding of Excel and attention to detail and accuracy Purpose of Role To support the successful planning and delivery of Change Management projects and other change initiatives according to relevant governance and budgetary methodologies by providing reporting and control support. Objectives Reporting Assist the Project Support Office Manager with reporting duties as required Controls Day to day management of risks issues and dependencies. Financial and budgetary controls will feature including Preparation of project cost plans based upon resource project plans Tracking and reporting actual costs Processing supplier invoices and authorisation allocation of costs Cost centre reconciliation and accruals preparation Preparation of scheduled financial reports and variance analysis Benefits tracking as appropriate Participation in quarterly forecasting process Supporting Project Managers in relation to purchasing and invoice payment processes Provide direct administrative support to the Project Support Office Manager and other areas within the department when required To assist the Project Support Office to provide support across the Change Management function for the company To be responsive to the needs of the Project Support Office Manager Programme Managers Business Analysts and Project Managers Ensure adherence to and act as subject matter expert in relation to project governance standards tools and procedures Conference and meeting planning to include the provision of secretariat support including pack production and minute taking Provide input for the department s intranet site and strive for constant improvement Resource planning and assistance with recruitment
