Their Tax Division comprises approximately 25 people many of whom are specialists in particular areas of tax possessing a high level of expertise and working knowledge in their chosen area(s The Division provides Vat Corporate Tax and Personal Tax compliance and consultancy services to a wide range of clients and prides itself on the quality of service high degree of professionalism and personal approach that is offered to each and every client. We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Vat Manager a key role in the Vat team The key function of this role is to provide a comprehensive compliance and consultancy Vat service to clients as well as playing a significant role in the development of the practice through in conjunction with the firm s marketing department this might include involvement in tenders and writing marketing publications You will manage a portfolio of clients providing compliance and consultancy advice responsibilities may include Handling of Vat registrations and Vat returns. Research on legislation. Liaise with clients usually by phone. Handle client and Partner queries (in conjunction with the Vat Manager Tender proposals. Due Diligence. Opportunities to train staff on Vat matters. Investigation and resolution of indirect tax queries. Assistance in development of planning and marketing initiatives. To be considered for this vacancy you will Possess substantial Vat experience and be technically knowledgeable in Vat Ideally have experience of Business development Be Aca Acca qualified or Cta qualified Ideally have experience in enquiries section or control officer of Vat office (Not salary payroll) desirable. Have basic accounting knowledge You will need to be analytical in your approach possess sound professional judgement be able to work to and meet deadlines in a pressurised environment open to developing on existing skills and knowledge and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written Attractive salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful applicant.
