My client an independent regulator at the forefront of change in financial reporting auditing and corporate governance is recruiting Audit Directors to manage and oversee Investigations carried out by teams based in their central London office. The department is responsible for monitoring the quality of all listed and other major public interest audits and the processes and procedures of the major audit firms. You will be involved in meeting with senior partners and staff of audit firms primarily the big 4 firms and second-tier firms in the UK to review their processes and audit methodologies. This means that some travel will be involved although most should be within London. The successful candidates will have the satisfaction of being able to influence changes in the practices and procedures of the major audit firms which will enhance audit quality. Career development is also possible as you can progress within the team structure.
