Academic English Test (Aet) Markers £12p hour Markers Supervisors will need to be available for training on 21st 22nd and 23rd May and for the marking period 27th May 13th June 2008. Aet is a pilot program for a new computer-based English language test for both college and university students. Aet Markers will mark the computer-based test papers of non-native English speakers. Markers will need to be available for a period of up to 4 weeks between May and June 2008. A number of high-performing markers may be invited to extend their contract period. Most markers will be expected to work in central london from 9am-5.30pm in a marking centre. Qualifications An Aet Marker Profile 1. English speaker to native level. 2. Recognised Teaching qualification (Celta Tefl or Tesol) 3. Computer literacy is an essential requirement 5. A good eye for detail as well as a proven ability to meet deadlines is essential 6. Applicants should have previous experience of marking student work 7. Ability to work within a defined marking framework 8. Markers Supervisors will need to be available to work in a marking centre between 19th May and 13th June 2008.
