Curb stops
Description
A water service shutoff valve located in a water service pipe near the curb and between the water main and the building. This valve is usually operated by a wrench or valve key and is used to start or stop flows in the water service line to a building. Also called a curb cock.Curb stop service valves control the water running to a home or building from the City's water main. Curb stops are usually located outside in the front yard of a property (for example: on the front lawn, driveway, or private sidewalk) on the border of public and private property and are owned by the City.
